Just before the jubilee weekend, the friends of Chain Bridge Forge arrived to complete installation of the playing field gate. The gate has been in significant disrepair for some years and to see it restored using traditional methods has been a joy. With the gate back in place we’ll look to remove the concrete pipe and tidy up the entrance through the year. The installation involved a clean up of the old supporting posts followed by a protective paint job, ongoing maintenance will be added to our annual schedules.
